Be Prepared for Fittings
When you go and have any dress fitting take along the other accessories you will be wearing, such as your bra or slimmer, stockings. This will make sure that you look your best, and that your dress fits you exactly the way it should, and that you have a gown that feels comfortable wearing on the day.
A Bra That Fits Right
Before you buy a bra, you should definitely ask about the stores return policy. Once you have that, you will want to try on a few different bras with your gown to see how each one will fit and feel when you are wearing your gown and dancing around in it. You will also want to have your measurements taken to ensure that you are actually wearing the correct bra as well.
The Right Tights
If you want to be able to take your shoes off as the night goes on, then you will want to think about the possibility of wearing tights, or even knee highs, rather than sheer hose. Whatever your choice, make sure you buy a few pairs, as you would hate to damage one on the morning of your wedding.
Veil Check
You know what you look like from the front when you wear your veil, but what about what you look like from back? Get someone who you trust to have a look and comment on what it looks like from the back. If all else fails - ask someone to take a photo of you with your veil on.

Fix Your Fabrics
If you are wearing a slip or crinoline, then you will want to check how it looks when wearing your hose. Sometimes the material can cause friction, and could end up shredding them.
Under Where?
Another thought which you will want to consider is wearing a hose with a sewn-in cotton crotch or thong underwear. It is impossible to try and fix that inevitable wedgie in a wedding gown.
Be Prepared
Keep an extra pair of everything that you are going to be wearing, especially hose. You may also want to keep some clear nail polish handy as well, just in case of any runs.
