Wedding Favor Basics

There are many couples who absolutely hate organizing their Wedding favors, because most people think that they are so difficult to organize and that they require so much time and sometimes, money as well. It can also be difficult to think outside the square when it comes to favors, but with a few simple steps and ideas you could have fabulous favors.

There really are two common ways to choose your favors: DIY Favors or symbolic favors. Once you have this out of the way, then you already have a direction in which you are heading.

A good place to start looking at favor ideas is to look through your favorite magazines, websites and browsing though specialty shops. Make a list of any ideas you like as you go along.

Make It Personalized
What sets the average run of the mill favors apart from those which stand out is the personality. Personal favors, which have meaning to your guests will always be remembered over a standard box of chocolates. There is nothing wrong with chocolates, but what about having an exquisite chocolate, rather than a standard box?

If your favors mean something to you, or bring some of your personality out as a couple, then that is what is going to make the difference.

Choosing The Package
There are so many different ways that you can package your favors. From pretty boxes and clear cellophane bags to silver canisters - how you choose to wrap your favors can make the difference. You could even simply make a trip to your nearest fabric store for ribbons or an art store for other supplies.

Making The Presentation
So you have chosen your favors and given them some personality, so why would you go and spoil all your hard work you have done so far by leaving them on the table? Sure, there is really nothing wrong with that, but is that what you really want, or do you want to have something different?

Why not have your waiters pass around the personalized cup cakes and jars of jam around after dinner on shiny silver trays, or you could just as easily make your favors the table centerpiece. You could personally give your guests their favors as everyone leaves the reception, although if you have 300 guests, this might be a bit of a busy task.

Final Words of Favors
Make your favors your own and there is nothing wrong with giving you favors your personal stamp. Your guests would certainly appreciate it.
