Whats the most romantic city in the world? Paris. So why not let this romantic city inspire your wedding. There are so many ways to add some French flair to your wedding even if you aren’t French.
Location and Decor
Book our a French restaurant for your reception or dress your reception location up with French flair to take advantage of this theme.
Transfer your reception hall into a French café style with ice-cream-parlor-style tables topped with bottles of wine, Dijon mustard, and Perrier. Leave baskets of baguettes on the tables for your guests to snack on. Don’t forget to make sure the waiters are all wearing berets to make the scene complete.
The Attire
For the bride, why not go Marie Antoinette -- huge skirt, tight top or bustier with lots of lace. An alternative would be to have a more couture wedding gown. Don’t forget to get your hair set in the same style as your dress!
The groom should go with a Pierre Cardin or Yves St. Laurent suite to look especially dashing.
Food and Drink
Think wines - a variety of around six different option. For the bride and groom, don’t forget that it is French Custom to drink the reception toasts from a two-handled cup called the "coupe de mariage."
For food think canapes, miniature croissants, quiches, escargot served with a various spreads, such as gourmet cheeses and fine pates, on French bread as starters.

A few strolling musicians playing romantic tunes while you eat your meal. For your first dance go with something Edith Piaf's bittersweet classic, "La Vie en Rose?" or Gershwin's "An American in Paris?"
French-inspired Favors
During the late 1700’s brides would give their bridesmaids fans decorated mythological paintings as favors. Although you might not have some of these lying around, you could certainly pick some up, or old style vanity mirrors.
If you don’t want to go old French school then why not go with pocket size French cook books, scarves and Chanel makeup.
