Traveling can be stressful, especially on those long haul international flights. Just because you are heading away on your honeymoon, does not mean that it is going to be any less stressful. We have a few tips for you to help keep you sane on your travels.
Eat Smart
Airline food is usually disgusting, and after being stuck on a plane for a few hours, you usually end up eating it. You may want to consider taking along a few healthy snacks. Fresh or dried fruit, yogurt, whole-grain crackers and cheese are some alternatives which spring to mind. Alternatively you can request a fruit plate or low fat or even a vegetarian meal when booking your flight.
Air Aerobics
Keep stretching in your seat, this will stop your back and legs from tightening up during the flight. A few simple exercises will make all the difference: shrug your shoulders, rotate your wrists and ankles, gently twist your body to one side, then the other. You can also get up and walk down the aisle every so often, taking a few deep, calming breaths as you do so.
Carry-On's
If your overall flying time is going to be longer than four hours, then there are a few little comforts you will want to pack in your carry on. Things such as: face cream, toothbrush and toothpaste, face cleanser, hand lotion, disposable razor, and Tylenol.
Other optional's which you may find useful may include:
- contact lens solution
- chapstick
- an eye pillow
- nail file
- head and neck pillow
- slippers
