If you are looking to keep your wedding intimate then you will most definitely need to cut down your guest list to a smaller number.
If you want your guests to feel that they are getting quality time with you and your partner, then there simply isn’t any other way around this.
Smaller Budget
There are many advantages to having a smaller wedding, with the obvious being a smaller budget. Alternatively, you could use the additional funds to ensure that your wedding is as perfect as you want it to be. It’s your wedding, and how you decide to do it is up to you.
Attention to Detail
Just because your wedding is smaller, does not mean that there are less things to worry about. Often with a smaller wedding, there is more to worry about, as it is then easier for the little errors to show. So, if you are having a smaller wedding, then you should be paying more attention to the absolutely all the details of your wedding.

Limit the Guest List
This is possibly going to be one of the most difficult things to do, as it is not always obvious as to who should be left off the guest list. The easiest way to start is possibly to leave off everyone you haven’t seen or kept in regular contact with in the last 1-2 years.
You will probably also need to cut second and third cousins, your mothers dentist etc from the list. You will more than likely have to deal with your parents complaining about who has been left off the list, but remember one important factor - this is your wedding, not theirs.
