Your wedding photographs need to be looked after, as unfortunately they will not last forever. You can preserve your wedding photographs quite easily, by following these few tips which we have put together for you.
There are many steps you can take to preserving your photos before you even have the pictures taken. When you are meeting with your photographer, you will want to chat to them about having fibre prints taken. This is more expensive, but if you want to have photos that last, then this is an option which is worth investigating.
You may also take into account that color photos do not last as long as black and white photos. Also discuss with the photographer the option of digital wedding photos and the benefits which are available to you.
Extra Care
When you get your photographs back from your photographer you will need to protect them as soon as possible. Without proper protection your photographs will "age" much quicker. Even having them protected, they will still become faded and yellow as time goes by - this is where having your photos stored on a CD or DVD is handy as you can print them out again at anytime and your photos will look as good as new.

Wedding Album
One of your best methods of protecting your photos is to place them in a good quality photo album, preferable one that uses materials which are acid-free. Most photographers will include this in their package, but if they don't, don't be afraid to ask them if they can do this for you.
Storage
Simply by keeping your photo album in a cool, dry, dark place and by avoiding any drastic temperature changes will make a big difference.
